Detection of osteoporosis using orthopantomography: An analytical study

:Background: Osteoporosis is a condition characterized by low bone mass and micro-architectural deterioration of tissue. Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) considered to be the "gold standard" in diagnosing osteoporosis. However, because cost limited availability, these are less suitable for large-scale screening. has several manifestations jaw which can identified dentists on panoramic radiographs measuring various mandibular morphometric indices. This study aims at assessing reliability radio indices namely Mental Index (MI), Antegonial (AI), Gonial (GI), Panoramic Mandibular (PMI), Cortical (MCI) osteoporosis cortical width. Materials Methods: Patients who were advised after thorough clinical examination enrolled this study.
